About Me

My name is Josh Summersgill, and I’m a British Masters Weightlifting Champion and Olympic Weightlifting Coach based in Warrington.

With over 12 years of coaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 600 athletes — from complete beginners to British Champions. I’m passionate about helping people unlock their potential through Olympic Weightlifting, whether that’s building sustainable strength and staying capable well into your 60s and beyond, or pursuing competitive goals.

I truly believe you should practice what you teach. That’s why I continue to compete at a high level myself — most recently finishing 6th at the European Championships. This real-world experience shapes every programme I create.

I take a personalised, holistic approach with every client. No cookie-cutter plans. I focus on your individual goals, lifestyle, and how you learn best — because real progress happens when training fits your life, not the other way around.

1. Lifters 40+ Training for Longevity & Strength

You want to stay strong, mobile, and capable as you get older. You’re not necessarily competing — you’re training to feel younger, move better, maintain muscle and bone density, and enjoy an active life for decades to come.

This is our main focus. Our Masters Olympic Weightlifting programme is built specifically for you.

2. Competitive & Performance-Focused Athletes

You want to improve your Olympic lifts, chase bigger numbers, or compete. You’re looking for structured, high-performance programming with clear progression.

Our Competition Olympic Weightlifting programming is designed for you.

Whether you’re over 40 and training for long-term health and strength, or you’re aiming to compete, we create fully personalised programmes that actually work for your life and goals.

Your Bespoke Experience

The "Bespoke Experience" model has been devised to enable you to have the optimum holistic service for you to crush your goals. Think of it like buying a brand new car. build your package step by step, until you have created your perfect coaching experience.

121 Private Coaching

Train towards your goals in person with myself with 121 Private Coaching sessions.

1 Session Per Week – £200 PER MONTH
2 Sessions Per Week – £400 PER MONTH
3 Sessions Per Week – £600 PER MONTH

nutrition

Your body is made up of the food that you fuel it with, and you can not out train a bad diet. For increased Performance, Weight gain or Weight loss, dialling in your nutrition is paramount.

Whether you live 5 minutes away, or on the other side of the globe, take your training to the next level with Online Programming. From Weightlifting Specific and Bodybuilding, to Strength & Conditioning and Functional Fitness, Online Programming has it all!

Weightlifting Programming – Develop your Weightlifting skills and Strength, whether to compete at the highest level, supplement your Functional Fitness, or to simply do it for the sheer fun of it!

Custom Programming – Exactly what it says on the tin. Online Programming tailored to suit your training goals and pursuits.

JSW Hybrid Athlete – Introducing the new JSWHA program! Hybrid Athlete has been developed to take you from the standard Functional Fitness class training, to the next level of physical performance. Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Accessory work and Metabolic Conditioning, all wrapped into one epic program.

COACHING PACKAGES

STANDARD COACHING PACKAGE – £180 PER MONTH
Combine Online Programming and Nutrition Coaching for the number one remote coaching experience.


PREMIUM COACHING PACKAGE – £380 PER MONTH
Take the Standard package to the next level with the addition of a weekly 121 in person personal training session. Online Programming, Nutrition Coaching and a weekly Personal Training rolled into one mega package.


ULTIMATE COACHING PACKAGE – £780 PER MONTH
The absolute creme de la creme of coaching experiences. The Ultimate coaching package includes Online Programming, Nutrition Coaching, and 3 weekly Personal Training sessions.
